Article 1 (Preamble)
- 01These terms set out the conditions and procedures for the use of the Backers100 service (the "Service") provided by The Backers Inc. (the "Company").
- 02The purpose of these terms is to define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between the Company and users.
- 03Matters not specified here are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
Article 2 (Membership and closure)
- 01Users who wish to use the Service apply for membership in the manner prescribed by the Company.
- 02Users must explicitly consent to required items (terms of service, privacy policy, etc.) at sign-up. Bundled consent is not operated.
- 03Members may request account closure at any time; the process follows section 7 of the privacy policy.
Article 3 (Service usage)
- 01The Service provides influence data for K-celebrities and K-brands, fan-giving campaign information, and cheer and search features.
- 02Some features may be tiered by member level (Fan Engagement).
- 03The Company may suspend the Service temporarily for operational stability, with prior or subsequent notice.
Article 4 (User duties)
- 01Users must provide truthful information when cheering, donating, or registering campaigns.
- 02Users are responsible for the secure management of their account credentials.
- 03Users must comply with these terms and applicable law and respect the rights of the Company, other users, media, and celebrities.
Article 5 (Prohibitions)
The following are prohibited; violations may lead to account restrictions or service-usage suspension.
- 01Hijacking another user's account or operating multiple accounts
- 02Abusing the cheer, donation, or report system (including automation, repeated actions, and false reports)
- 03Registering false or misleading campaigns
- 04Producing content that violates the Service's wording policies, including defamation or personal attacks against celebrities, outlets, or users
- 05Interfering with the normal operation of the Service or extracting or copying data without authorization
Abuse patterns are reviewed by operators in accordance with the site abuse policy.
Article 6 (Company rights and duties)
- 01The Company takes reasonable measures to maintain the stability and reliability of the Service.
- 02The Company protects user personal information in accordance with the privacy policy.
- 03The Company announces algorithm changes and policy changes via these terms and the relevant pages.
Article 7 (Disclaimer)
- 01AI auto-classifications, summaries, and scores are operated on the premise that errors may occur. Results are for reference only and may not be used as legal evidence.
- 02The Company is not liable for damages caused by force majeure, legal changes, or external system failures beyond its control.
- 03These disclaimers apply within the maximum extent permitted by applicable law in the Republic of Korea.
Article 8 (Amendments)
- 01The Company may amend these terms; amendments are announced 7 days before the effective date via in-app notice, email, and the changelog.
- 02Amendments unfavorable to user rights are announced 30 days before the effective date; a re-consent step may be operated.
- 03Users who do not consent to amended terms may close their account; deemed consent is not operated.
Article 9 (Dispute resolution)
- 01Disputes between the Company and a user are resolved through mutual discussion first.
- 02Where discussion does not resolve a dispute, the Seoul Central District Court is the court of first instance.
- 03The governing law of these terms and any dispute is the law of the Republic of Korea.
Article 10 (Effective date)
- 01These terms are effective from May 12, 2026.
