Every change is published at activation and kept permanently.

Notification policy

Small
Small changes are logged within 7 days of activation; premium and B2B users are notified in-app and by email.
Medium
Medium changes are announced 7 days before activation; all users and B2B subscribers receive an in-app banner and an email.
Major
Major changes are announced 30 days before activation; all users, B2B subscribers, and press receive notifications on every channel.

    Changes
    • Strengthened article matching — only articles that mention the celebrity by name, English name, group, or official alias count toward scoring
    • Automatic outlet credibility classification — major dailies / wires / broadcast (weight 1.0), entertainment / sports / general (0.9), other (0.4)
    • Group coverage recognition — idol coverage that mentions only the group name is now credited to its members
    • Positive-impact reclassification — about 120,000 previously unclassified articles were re-evaluated to restore accuracy for public-good activity
    Rationale
    • Removed cast-only articles that didn't mention the celebrity by name from their profile and scoring
    • Outlet credibility had been uniform across all articles; this update reflects actual outlet tiers
    • Previously unclassified articles were excluded from positive-impact scoring, unfairly penalizing some celebrities; this update restores accuracy
    Impact
    • Composite scores over the last 30 days were rebalanced; some celebrities saw notable rank shifts
    • Celebrities strong in media coverage and public-good activity moved up; those with weak search interest moved down
    • Recomputed across approximately 1,800 entities
    Recompute scope

    Previous-version rankings are preserved. This change applies from the 2026-05-20 ranking onward.

    • Simpler normalization — absolute-value signals take priority (the previous distribution-shaping step was retired)

    Rationale
    • The initial run produced a flat distribution with insufficient mid-rank differentiation
    • The previous distribution-shaping step suppressed the actual signal magnitude
    Impact
    • Distribution restored — median ~73, standard deviation ~13
    • Rankings from 2026-05-13 to 2026-05-19 are permanently preserved under this version
